"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost".
When Jesus declared “It is finished", he was referring to His payment of our debt of sin. But you will notice that the Lord of glory stuck around a while after that. Because although “it” was finished, He was not yet finished. Jesus knew what all great leaders know. No one is a success without a successor!
Or are you just growing older? Maturity, in any species is marked by the ability to reproduce. Since we are capable of reproducing the moment we get saved, true maturity in the Spirit is marked, not by the ability, but by the desire to reproduce. Now that you are born again, you have found your course and you are about the business of following it, it is time to begin thinking about finishing. Who will be your successor? Who will be the beneficiary of all that you have learned and gained, and who will continue that which the Lord has begun in you? If you are indeed maturing and you would like to get serious about soul winning, visit our sister site: Join a growing army of soul winners who understand the importance of finishing their course in life.
